The design concept was to convey the misery Frankenstein and his creature went through and Frankenstein’s eagerness to create life from building pieces and become God, only to reject his creation which leads his creature suffering from isolation.
Typography supports the ideals of sorrow and melancholy tone throughout the book.
Images of hand gestures illustrate the wretched, violent, and grim emotions of Frankenstein and his creature. My father's hand photography were used for chapter openings.Â
